Basically, Waze is telling the user to go past the destination, through a loop and eventually get back to where the user originally wanted to be.

As far as I can tell, everything looks good, and it is a pretty simple configuration, but why the weird directions?

The only thing I can think of is that Waze is trying really hard to avoid left turns, but if so, that is ridiculous.

Heh, I see you found jalendragon's UR. About the only thing beyond the obvious of QW'ing the junction is to "nuke it" by drawing a round-about over that intersection, deleting it, and reconnecting. Doing that has side-effects that has a chance of curing this, it gives all intersection segments new segment IDs and destroys the old junction. This also works for fixing corrupted junctions that cause turn instructions for going straight through.

And as RallyChris said, we can't be sure if there used to be a restricted turn there, so a simple QW may not fix it.

Not yet, but eventually we'll be getting a "show route" in WME that works off the Edit Map instead of Live Map.

I can't see anything either, though you might try setting the road into the parking lot (the one Wazes takes them past then brings them back to) to be a street, rather than a parking lot road. Like you I can't see why it refuses to route directly, but this fix might help, and wouldn't be an incorrect road designation.

Hard to test, since parking lots don't show in live map, and I'm not close enough to test in the client.

It might be that the turn restriction have been changed since the last update cycle, since we can't see modification times on those. Or something weird is going on based on the GPS point given for the address look up.

Stumped by Weird Driving Directions

I am completely stumped by this User Error.

I was thinking the same thing but all of the latest update times reported by the editor are in early April.

At least I am glad to know that I am not the only one stumped and missing something glaringly obvious :)

Thanks for everyone's help in this thread. I will try some, if not ultimately all, these steps.

Is there a way to test a fix without waiting for an update? I don't think there is but one can hope...
