There is a bridge and a ferry, but to separate parts of Valentia - from what I remember the last time I was in Kerry, the bridge connects the southern part of the island to the mainland, but there's also a ferry at the eastern tip of the island to the mainland near Cahirciveen.

Good to know. Haven't been there since childhood!

Yes - looks like we've got most of the routes - but once we've done the M1 and the missing ferries, I reckon we should request the toll road avoidance option to be turned on here. The petrol stations might take a while longer...

Understatement of the year re the petrol stations i think! :-) I wouldn't worry too much about it for now. Would be far more important to get roads sorted first.

Was completely blind looking at Passage East. Don't know how i missed that it was already mapped. Unfortunately it is about a mile and a half away from an area i can edit. I'm not sure if it has an AM assigned. Cartouche doesn't seem to be loading for me to check

If you want to get petrol stations mapped sooner, ask the fuel companies for a list of their stations with coordinates. Then, send those to Waze, and they'll import them into the map for you. This worked very nicely in GB. :)

I noticed a lot of landmarks for Esso stations show up here (as just a small square; not matching the true shape of the landmark) - I was wondering if the import list for Esso stations in the UK also included the Irish ones.

Did you just contact Waze support to get the stations imported?

Yeah, Waze may have imported some Essos for the whole of Europe, and maybe BP too.

Go to http://www.waze.com/support and type some text in the nanoRep box, then do "Ask an Agent by Email". Let them know you have some files you'd like them to import.

Was driving up to Dunleer and back today from Dublin. Didn't see any notification or an Icon for Toll bridge behind Drogheda. Is it added?

They haven't enabled toll road avoidance in Ireland yet - but probably will when we tell them that most of the toll roads here have been marked (it's an attribute of the road in the editor).

I haven't checked them all yet myself, but I think most of them are done.

In any case, toll roads don't get marked visually in the client, but once the avoidance has been enabled, then an option shows up in the client that allows you to tell it to avoid toll roads when routing. Routes that contain a toll road do show up with a little marker in the alternate routes list.

i couldn't see it marked at drogheda just now, nor could i see any toll road boxes ticked for the motorway roads in the area.
do you have editor privileges for the M1 there david?
i have PM'ed the editors who seem to have edited Tarbert, Valentia and Passage East recently. Hopefully they can be done soon

Right, so it is (will work when they'll enable it) working only as Avoidance? We will not see Toll area marked on The map if you browse it?

Thanks for heads up.

No, my editing privileges don't extend that far - otherwise I would've fixed that up by now. I'd say Arthur O'Hara (@arthurohara) does, however.
